Joining Our Plans
Many people can find value in an MSA plan – travelers who want broad access, health enthusiasts and people with in-control chronic conditions who want to parlay their health into financial benefit, enrollees on expensive Medicare Supplement plans who are looking to save money and more.
To enroll in one of the Fenyx Health Group MSA plans, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be an eligible member of the group (eligible to receive benefits)
- Be Medicare-eligible and enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B
- Live in the Fenyx Health Group MSA service area (all 50 states plus D.C.)
- Reside in the U.S. for 183 days or more during the calendar year
- Not have other insurance or benefits that cover the MSA plan deductible such as TRICARE, Veteran’s Administration (VA), Federal Employee Health Benefit Plan (FEHBP) or other employer/group coverage
- Not currently receiving Medicare hospice benefits
- Not currently eligible for Medicaid (not dual-eligible)
Joining Fenyx Health:
- You can join the plan any time during the year
- Your first year coverage usually begins the first day of the next month after submitting your enrollment request
- Your first year deductible and deposit amounts are prorated by month if joining after January 1
- Your first year coverage ends December 31
- Your plan benefit year for subsequent years is January 1 – December 31
- You are automatically re-enrolled in your current plan for the next plan year, unless you submit a request to change
Leaving Fenyx Health:
- You can leave the plan at the benefit year end or in a limited number of situations within the year
- Your coverage ends the last day of the same month leave is requested/approved
- If leaving before December 31, you owe a prorated portion of the current year’s deposit back to Fenyx Health
Changing Plans:
- You can switch between available plans each year.
- Your request to remain a member but change plans must be received by December 1; we will provide more information on how to submit this request in the fall of 2024.
- You will remain in your current plan until December 31.

PENNSYLVANIA, JUNE 23, 2025 – Fenyx Health Insurance Company today announced a new collaboration with Select Health, a non-profit health plan based in Salt Lake City, Utah to offer low-cost, high-value Medicare Advantage options to employer groups. The offering includes Group Medicare Medical Savings Account (MSA) plans designed to provide affordable, flexible coverage for Medicare-eligible retirees and employees.
Fenyx Health and Select Health are focused on delivering innovative, simple, and affordable coverage options for Medicare-eligible employees and retirees. However, traditional group Medicare plans are often cost-prohibitive for employers. As a result, many organizations either drop coverage entirely or shift to plans that increase costs or create barriers to care for their members.
The Select Health Group MSA plans will be available to employers of all sizes, as well as unions, associations and local and state government entities in Utah, Idaho, Nevada and Colorado. Offered as a voluntary, optional coverage choice, these plans—ranging from no-fee to low-fee—present a significant cost savings opportunity to employer groups.
MSAs are similar to Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and are the only Medicare plan type with the potential for members to save and grow funds for future health care needs. Unlike other Medicare plans, MSAs allow members to access any Medicare-participating provider in the U.S. and do not require any additional prior authorizations or referrals.
